Wanderer

Kin to the Hebrews
Forgotten by God
Eternally damned
Bound by the road to destruction

A Wily Cunning Liar
Sheltered by the grace of an unwitting stranger
A lover
or a friend
Just a million dollar bum

A life spent in flight
A deterrent journey
Convenient distraction
Necessary facade

Clawed along by momentum's unwavering hand
Never in one place long enough
Never a pause
To think on his sins

Driven by misguided instinct
a masquerade
thinly veiled fear
A shark in perpetual motion
To stop is to die

Nothing lost
Nothing to be found
No reason to keep him going
Relentless in the pursuit of emptiness

Chased by no one
Haunted by no thing
Sought only in love

he could go home
But home is an end
A stop
And to stop is to die

Capetonification

Meet Tony Conrad. Writer. (He thinks so) Capetonian. In a city of morally-challenged assholes, he just might be the biggest one. At least that's what his lady says. He's trying to change that. And failing... All Material is owned by the writer thereof, Tony Conrad Copyright © 2013
